We have opened new hotel and, with it, we begin the posts dedicated to our next destination.
We love to talk about Marrakech, the royal city straight out of a fairy tale of Arab princes and magic carpets.
Marrakech has a real charm that surprises those who visit the city for the first time and who are bound to return, attracted by its magic. Marrakech never disappoints.
Certainly, and above all if it is your first time in the city, the visit should begin in the Jemaa el Fna square. Located in the heart of the medina, this square is a meeting place for locals and visitors, a center of commerce and entertainment with numerous shows during the day and restaurants and food stalls at night.
Snake charmers, storytellers, acrobats … the square is a spectacle in itself. And you can admire all that from the terraces of restaurants and bars located all over the place and shops that occupy three of the four sides.
Jemaa el Fna is the perfect starting point for exploring the rest of the medina, and it has also been declared a World Heritage Site.
To complete the visit to the plaza, we discovered on one of its sides the Koutoubia Mosque, another one of its best known symbols, visible from anywhere in Marrakech. Only Muslims can access its interior.
